Sorry for the excessively bad pun. It’s just been one of those weeks.

Here we have2 lovely cones of Tencel from WEBS and their Anniversary sale made these espeically affordable. I would really like to do the Flowing River Shawl in the teal. I’m not too sure what to do with the grey.

I’m sure it’ll speak to me. Hopefully in a firm James Earl Jones voice too. “Opal, use the tencel!”

So I started knitting this shrug from Berroco. I’m using Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece in Cavern and my needles are turning black!

Apparently cotton doesn’t hold dye too well so it can shed it’s color on anything close by. Like my hands! At least it washes off.

What I’ll do when I’m finished with this is give it anice vinegar soak. Or should I try to get some alum? Advice would be greatly appreciated.

My Ruby Zephyr is also shedding it’s color on my Bryspun needles. Unfortuantley that doesn’t wash off.

I got this purple merino over 5 years ago from The Red Barn Farm. It’s an absolute dream to spin. I think this is crying to be a Diamond Fantasy Shawl too. Hrm…..

This is my 6th try at getting the Frost Flowers and Leaves going. I’m learning a lot with this shawl.

I used the Bellybutton start and Birch needles. Both of which really helped me hold on to the knitting at the beginning. I also used a lot of stitch markers and I staggered the begining of each round so that the yarn over’s weren’t at the ends of the needles.

To make things even easier this time around I’m highlighting my copy of the pattern the areas where I really need to pay attention. Like when the beginning of the round moves one stitch over and when the plain rows stop.

So far it’s going very smoothly. I just hope I can keep it up.

I really have to get my crochet hook out and make this Psychotic Tomato. It just looks like so much fun!
