This is my cat Onyx. She’s 18 years old and she had started losing weight which was extremely alarming considering she was already very tiny. Last year she weighed 9 lbs and then when I took her for a checkup this year, she had lost 2.5lbs. That’s a lot of weight to lose when she had nothing to lose to begin with.
So I started feeding her the kind of cat food that is the equivalent to McDonald’s for us bipeds. So far it seems like she’s gaining the weight back, but I’m still really worried about her. She’s been with me since I was 16 years old and she’s helped me through so much in life. If anyone has any idea about what kind of food I can give her to help her gain weight, please let me know!

In the meantime I’ll leave you with what is hopefully a better picture of the Triangles Within Triangles shawl that I did in February. The yarn I used is the Peruvian Collection Baby Silk in Aubergine. It’s such a dark purple it almost looks black in the picture, but it really is just a very rich purple. This is just one of my favorite yarns as it is so soft and knitting with it is like knitting with butter yarn. The only thing I don’t like about this particular yarn is that it comes in increments of 109 yards so I’m constantly splicing in new skeins.
