Mystery Shawl #3, Summer Into Fall
I started this shawl with the Emily Ocker’s Cast-On and it was a lot easier then I thought it would be thanks to those great directions. I hope to finish this by June so I can start the Mystery Shawl #4. Fun fun!

If you haven’t seen the new Fiddlesticks shawl, you must run to it! I think it’s just gorgeous and I can’t wait to get it. This is just about my favorite designer because her charts are so fabulous.

Please accept my apologies and my thanks for the wonderful compliments. Heehee. I would like to just say that the shawls I make aren’t beautiful because of any effort on my part. The only thing I’ve done is follow directions. As far as the Peacock Feathers Shawl goes, that really wasn’t hard to do. The directions for that shawl is just so wonderful and easy that it wasn’t much of a hardship for me. :D
The Zephyr yarn that I used is a 50% Silk/50% wool blend that is absolutely a treat to work with. The drape on that yarn is incredible and the high silk content makes it an absolute must to work with in humid weather. I think it might be one of the only yarns I can use during hot and humid weather. I haven’t tried cotton for shawls yet though so that’s another thought. I’m just not sure how cotton would drape.
I do have a linen blend yarn but I have no idea who manufactures it so if I like it I wouldn’t be able to get more. There’s no label and I got it in a trade so long ago I’m not even sure where I met the person I traded with.
I’m almost finished binding off for the Diamond Fantasy Shawlette. I hope to have pictures sometime today!
