I am so happy that I’ve finally produced some bulky weight yarn. I feel like I’ve finally broken free of the laceweight barrier. I only hope that I can still manage the laceweight as I’ve a friend that said once he started spinning thicker yarns, he couldn’t go back to the thin.
I think one of the things I need to do this weekend is finish up some of the laceweight/fingering weight projects I’ve abandoned in favor of the fun stuff. The heavier weight yarns are just so much more gratifying because they spin up so quickly.
Before I do that, I’d like to stock the shop with a few more heavy weight yarns and get that second Harry Potter sock (Ravel it!) done. I’ll have to squeeze all that in between meeting some beading friends on Saturday, a beading class on Sunday, and a get together at a friend’s house after the class.
I’m already a little exhausted just thinking about it all.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Your handspun yarns are gorgeous! I have some singles that I have experimented with spinning bulkier, it is very difficult for me. You spin bulky very nicely.

Spectacular yarns! You’re making me want to spin thicker. :)

love shamrock!
i dunno. i think it would be easier to retain the laceweight spinning if you had that down before spinning bulkier. just my .02 tho.

Oh gorgeous! What finally helped you spin thicker? I still can’t, I’m totally stuck on the lace…sigh.

Yumm, bunches of greeny goodness, which is particularly refreshing here in my world covered in white!

Yum! Those skeins sure do seem to be coming fast and furious.

It’s early in the AM for me, and I first thought “Shamrock” was called “Aftershock”! Love all the greens. : )

Now just cut it out! You’re making me want to spin and I really, *really*don’t have the room for a wheel, let alone another stash.
But oh, that “Afternoon at the Lake” is so delicately evocative…

Love all of your yarns! The greens are my favourite! Sounds like a busy weekend in store for you. Enjoy!
