I have two more skeins of yarn finished so today is basically a repeat of Friday. I’m just that exciting.
2-ply
173 yards – 14 WPI
3.85 oz – 109.15 g
100% Corriedale
roving from “Hungry For Handspun”
Jen is my favorite crack dealer and you can see why looking at those colors. Between her and a certain cranky knitter, I’ve been halfway cured of my allergy to pink. I’m still resisting adding any of it to my wardrobe. Never say never though. It could still happen. Maybe. Possibly. Let’s not hold our breath.
2-ply
173 yards – 12 WPI
3.6 oz – 102.06 g
100% Finn
roving from the Spunky Eclectic Fiber Club
I have to say Tea Garden is my favorite of the two. While I love both colorways equally, the Finn is so soft and squishy. The Corriedale is just a bit harsh in comparison. I doubt I’ll be adding anymore of the Corrie to my stash, even though I think it would make fantastic outer wear knits.
This would not be a complete “Monday Repeat” without another picture of the Sammy. Here he is looking rather annoyed at being disturbed from his nap. Oh the sacrifices the kitty must make for the sake of the blog!
Before I go, I just have to say that yesterday was an awesome football day. I’m ecstatic over the fact that the Arizona Cardinals are going to the Superbowl for the first time in franchise history and I’ll be cheering for them all the way!
Happy Monday, folks!

I’m with you on allergy to pink. I don’t really think that first skein is pink though just accented with pink. :)

You’ll be wearing it and loving it before you realize what’s happening.
I love them both, but yeah, you know which one I love more.
Hai, Sammy!

Dude. I chose to watch the OTHER football game, and totally missed out. Grrrrrrr. I like that Tea Garden look, too. Lovely spinning. Sammy rocks with his attitude =)

Both yarns are beautiful, and Sammy certainly does look annoyed!
I love that the Cardinals are going to the SuperBowl. Of course, I love any team that can beat the Eagles. Except maybe the Steelers. But then, maybe not. That would be a tough call…

Both of them are beautiful, but Tea Garden made me drool all over the keyboard :)

I find the continual creation of yarn to be exciting. They are both beautiful. I see what you mean about the difference in softness between the two. I just wonder if you might like the Corrie better if it were not held in comparison to the squishiness of the Finn.
I just keep scrolling back up to look at the beautiful yarn.

i love sangria – very romantic and just in time for valentine’s day!
January 20th, 2009 at 12:58 am
Luscious yarns! I’ve always been anti-pink too, but somehow I find it tolerable in spinning fibers. :)
January 20th, 2009 at 2:27 am
I am surprised to hear you say that the Corriedale was a bit harsh. I thought Corriedale was supposed to be a pretty soft, next to skin breed.
The sangria looks more wine in color than pink, thus I love!
January 20th, 2009 at 5:21 am
Wow, that sangria is just beautiful! I wouldn’t necessarily call it pink, but then I have an aversion of pink, more like a spectrum of red. Sammy looks like he’s plotting ways to pay you back.

Pretty, pretty, and handsome! Tea Garden is especially fab. Regarding pink, surely you could wear pink socks? : )
January 20th, 2009 at 7:09 am
Your yarn is divine my dear friend!!
Go Steelers!!
January 20th, 2009 at 7:18 am
Ooooh that Tea Garden one is so pretty! My kind of colors. I haven’t tried Finn yet, but I don’t like corriedale. I’m too sensitive.
January 20th, 2009 at 10:01 am
Pretty yarn! Forgive me for being unobservant, did you change your blog? Just wondering. Looks good!
January 20th, 2009 at 10:19 am
dude, you are a spinning maniac! they are both gorgeous!
January 20th, 2009 at 10:29 am
Lovely yarn! Do you ever stop spinning? I think Sammy wishes you would just mind the wheel and not interrupt his naps! He’s the cutest!
January 20th, 2009 at 10:48 am
The results of your latest spinning = gorgeous :)
January 20th, 2009 at 3:08 pm
Love both – but I sort of like the Sangria better (love reds!)…the picture of Sammy is too cute!
And the Cardinals? Sigh…no way….go Steelers! :-)
January 21st, 2009 at 4:26 am
Oh they are both sensational and I don’t think I could choose between them if you put a gun to my head.
Which, now that I think of it, looks as though that’s what Sammy would like to do to you :)
The facial expression of an annoyed cat is always hilarious to me. Jade (and Sammy too, I’m sure) would beg to differ!

Sangria is very pretty.

Beautiful yarns and lovely WIP’s. I love your Clapotis. Truly! You’ll be wearing it before you know it. And I have total faith that you will undo the yarn vomit. Takes patience, which is something you have in abundance. Hugs!
