I finished the Black Shrug!
I thought it would be impossible, but the Knitting Goddesses must have needed to prove me wrong. So I did get to wear it to the Aloha Knitters meet up last night.
It does look a bit like a blob, but I’ll get some pictures with me wearing it sometime this weekend. I’m already planning on making other wraps. This could be a new addiction. Wraps with sleeves!
One of the shrugs I want to make is the Espirit Raglan Shrug. I already have Elann.com Collection’s Esprit. I have it in a variegated colourway that isn’t shown so I’ll take a picture of it later.

Looks great!
Isn’t it annoying how hard black is to photograph. I have a black cat and just finished a black cardi…I can’t get good pictures of either of them!

It looks great. We need a “model shot” to fully appreciate it.

The shrug came out so nice a soft! The Raglan shrug and it’s top underneath are so pretty.

[...] I hate knitting with cotton. This is true on many levels. Once in awhile I’ll knit up a dishcloth and have a great time doing it, but usually I’ll get sick of cotton yarn by the time I’m binding off the dischcloth. I can’t imagine how I’d feel knitting a 42″ sweater out of cotton. Sure, there are better cottons out there. Earlier this year I knitted up a shrug in Brown Sheep’s Cotton Fleece and even though I love the finished product I wasn’t happy with the process. Plus, knitting with cotton hurts my hands. It doesn’t matter that I knit with bamboo or with wood, it hurts. [...]
