Friday couldn’t have come sooner for me this week. I’ve been down and out by a tooth extraction I had done on Monday. On Monday! So I haven’t been able to concentrate on much, but there’s a new project that’s been perfect for my brainless days.
My friend, Blogless Elaine, taught me how to make these bracelets last weekend. I haven’t been able to stop making them since.
These bracelets are a great way to use up leftover beads that I have an abundance of. I’m still tweaking the general shape, but I have a feeling each bracelet will be unique.
Despite my growing collection of bracelets, I’m not prepared to try this bracelet out with my sterling silver wire. I imagine I’ll have to make a slew of copper bracelets before I gain enough confidence for that!
And can you believe Christmas is next week? Next week! I have a small gift card set aside for my mother. (She doesn’t read my blog, so she won’t find out.) Aside from that? I have no presents ready as I was going to make all my presents this past week. Hopefully I have forgiving friends.
None of the presents will be bloggable until the recipients have received them and my main knitting project is a stealth project. So I’ll be out of blog fodder for a bit. Posting may become even more erratic. I wonder if that’s even possible. O.o
Although I am looking forward to a possible visit with Kris of Bockstark Knits and KnottyNaomi. We’re hoping to have a mini spin in. Of course this means I need to clean my tiny living room up. Or I can just leave it the way it is and claim artistic license for clutter. :P
Finally, here’s a shot of my tiny, artificial tree and perpetual motion Sammy. I love the little battery powered lights!
Happy Aloha Friday everyone! Have a great weekend!

These bracelets are gorgeous!
I know!! I had the same realization yesterday re: Christmas! Already? I don’t feel ready yet, but probably will after the weekend (I hope…).
Cute tree. : )

Lovely bracelets.
Are you doing okay? Hanging in there? Or do I not want to know?
Cute tree and that Sammy is adorable.

Love the bracelets! Cute little tree, too.
I’m glad your mouth is feeling better. I know those tooth extractions can be rough. I had two at once pulled last year. I wouldn’t have believed that it could make me as ill as it did. I didn’t get out of bed for two days.
Ready for the last Texas Stadium game tomorrow? I won’t get to watch it–no NFL network–but they are streaming the closing ceremony on dallascowboys.com. I’ll be watching that. I’m sure I’ll cry.

Sorry to hear about your sore mouth. Tooth extractions are no fun! Hope you feel better soon. Your little bracelets are really cute. I can see why you can’t stop making them. Nice tree and a very cute Sammy!

Wow, at first I read “battery powered Sammy!” My eyes are playing tricks but not when it comes to your jewelry. The four items received from you so far are just perfect!
Mahalo, Opal.

Your tree is cute!

I think tooth extractions are extra weird – I’ve had 4 wisdom teeth removed and each time I couldn’t get over the idea that something had been removed from my head. TAKEN OUT OF MY SKULL.
Bizarre.
Hope recovery continues to go well!

Perfect size for a tree.

I love your little, tiny tree. A regular Christmas tree is more than I can manage these days, but I could deal with one of those :) I’m going to have to look around!
Your bracelets are lovely little items that look as though they came right out of a fairy-tale. I wonder though, does the copper make green marks on your skin if you wear it too long?
I hope your poormouith is feeling better. Having dealt with tooth extractions myself, I know how you must have felt last week. I hope you spoiled yourself with something soft and yummy, like ice cream :)

Opal, I hope your poor mouth is better! I second what m.k. said above!
The bracelets, the little cute tree, and big cute Sammy are all wonderful.
Happy Holidays, Ms O!
Snowy greetings from New Mexico!

The free-form bracelets are lovely – but I’m in love with your little tree…I’ve just decided it’s time to say NOT to the BIG tree!!
(Now if I can get the daughter to agree…ok not happening this year…)
I hope you’re feeling better by now, what a terrible thing to knock you down…I hate dental work of any kind!!
((((hugs))))
