In one of my last posts, I showed you all a picture of Summer Meadows.
I didn’t notice until later how off the color was. So I’m reposting pictures of the same yarn to give you all a more accurate rendering of how it looks.
What was I thinking? The first picture is nowhere near what the yarn looks like. I blame it on sleep deprivation. Yeah. That’s my story. I’m sticking to it.
Moving on.
I finished plying Thermograph.
It’s another 3ply fingering weight yarn. I received it through the Spunky Eclectic Fiber Club, meaning I did not pick this out myself.
So. Not. Me.
Luckily, I have a pretty good idea as to who will give it a good home. So it’s all good.
I’m still beading my little heart out. (Ha!) And because I’m so inarticulate today, here’s a sampling of what I’ve been doing.
There are more here and they’ll most likely end up in my Etsy shop sometime this weekend. Speaking of weekends, maybe I’ll recover from this incoherent lapse by Monday. Once again, I blame the sleep deprivation. :)
Happy Friday everyone! Thanks for reading!

I always blame sleep derpriviation. It’s always at fault.
A pun! A pun! Those hearts are so darling.
Wow, huge difference in color in that yarn. The name Summer Meadow makes much more sense now too.

The thermograph is gorgeous as are the heart earrings.
October 10th, 2008 at 11:24 am
That’s funny about the yarn: they’re both beautiful, but I like the real color better!
Your jewelry is gorgeous!
October 10th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
Wow, what a difference! Love the thermograph, too.
Cowboys and Cardinals this weekend, what’cha think?
October 10th, 2008 at 12:27 pm
Wow! I still love the yarn, but you are right! The colors are very different. Awesome job with the jewelry.
Talent, talent, talent!

oh my, i just love, love, love your heart earrings - hope i can snatch me a pair! btw, i was wondering why “summer meadows” was so ‘blue’ - the wrong color was nice though…..have a nice weekend!
October 11th, 2008 at 12:34 am
Both colors are lovely, and so is the mouth-watering pinky-orange. Love the hearts, too!
October 11th, 2008 at 12:58 am
What a difference in yarn colors! The Spunky Eclectic is gorgeous! Your spinning really is beautiful….
October 11th, 2008 at 2:14 am
Well, the Thermograph yarn pleases my eye no end! Bright and cheerful and full of beans :) Certainly you wouldn’t want every yarn to be like that, but even yarn have to have a cheering section!
The heart earrings are wonderful - very cute and, umm, dangly? Okay, you can shoot me - I blame it on being early still and not having had a full cup of coffee yet. I still think they’re really cute!
October 11th, 2008 at 3:47 am
That is a huge difference. Though I have to admit I was immediately awed by the colors in the first pic when your page loaded–that would make a completely amazing yarn!
Lovely stuff, you productive being you!
October 11th, 2008 at 7:02 am
Wow, that is a BIG color difference. I love both the versions :) Your new jewelry is awesome…love the hearts and beads together :)
October 11th, 2008 at 7:20 am
Yes, it does make more sense as a green yarn. I don’t think “meadow” when I see blue. Go figure. I love the one you don’t, but you knew that.
I also love those heart earrings! You are so good at that stuff.
xo

Quite a difference between those pictures, though I must admit that I like both color combinations. The Spunky Eclectic is very pretty as well.
The jewelry is stylish. So very nice!
October 11th, 2008 at 10:55 am
Beautiful spinning - that is so wild that the colors are so different. Nice hearts! Don’t you find bending metal and hammering quite a release?
October 12th, 2008 at 2:41 am
Beautiful yarns and earrings! I hope you had a nice relaxing weekend with spinning and jewelry involved. I love seeing how you turned a class you recently took into many pretty earrings.
October 12th, 2008 at 2:52 am
Wow. A big difference in the colors. I love both of them, even though one doesn’t exist! HA.
You are really good at the beading. The heart earrings are great. You make me want to bring out my beading stuff… although I always end up with crap! LOL.
October 12th, 2008 at 6:10 am
Both yarns are super! The Thermograph is beautiful too! And the heart earrings are fantastic! Love your work!!!
October 12th, 2008 at 7:18 am
Woah, those are the same yarn?! lol Isn’t it interesting what digital camera/lighting/combination of both can do to the color something?
October 12th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Taking pictures of hand spun yarns really is difficult but I think it looks great in the “revised”picture! Those hearts really are quite pretty.
October 13th, 2008 at 4:01 am
I like the 2nd picture of Summer Meadows better than the first - and now that I see what Thermograph looks like spun up I might spin mine (and sell it…) ;o)
October 13th, 2008 at 6:17 am
The difference between the two photos is amazing. I just love looking at everything you create!
October 13th, 2008 at 11:50 am
Wow. That really is different in color but it still looks great!
October 13th, 2008 at 12:24 pm
OMG, what a completely different yarn! But meh, they are both great - no matter! :) And geez, you have been so amazingly productive with your beading and spinning! I’m jealous!
October 13th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
Your spinning is awesome! I love the yarn. And I heart the hearts too! You are so talented, you make me want to take up beading and jewelry making (as if I need another hobby, lol)
October 14th, 2008 at 3:50 am
I am loving all of your heart jewelry.I am going to etsy to check it out now!
October 14th, 2008 at 4:15 am
Just a little bit different. ;) Still beautiful though as is the second skein and all the jewelry you’ve been making. Oh to have an unlimited amount of cash…. ;)
October 14th, 2008 at 9:40 am
How did that happen? That’s a HUGE difference in yarn…sleep deprevation? Really?
lolololol
I liked the first photo better.
:(
But then I’m so NOT a green gal…
the jewelry and beading is gorgeous, and the PINK yarn is too!
(((hugs)))
