I was able to finish one more skein before the Ravelympics wrapped up. The thing is I posted my second project on the Finish Line thread 17 hours ago, but what looks like the last medals were handed out 16 hours ago on the thread. So I’m not sure if more medals will be given out or what.
Either way, I still feel somewhat accomplished. I now have approximately 900 yards of merino/tencel, 2-ply laceweight out of 4 ounces of roving from Hungry For Handspun.
I absolutely loved spinning this yarn. The merino/tencel blend is so soft. It’s like buttah. I also love the sheen of the tencel. I plan on acquiring much more of this sometime in the future.
Hopefully I’ll be able to list this, as well as 4 other skeins up on my shop either today or tomorrow. You can always check out the shop blog for news on shop udates.
Happy Monday everyone! Let’s pray it’ll be over soon. :-P

900 yards?! Swoon!

I find that pool of yarn simply gorgeous. You know how you’ll look at yarn and think, “Oh, that will make a divine (insert object here)?” I don’t imagine that yarn as anything other than what it is.

Opal – that yarn is just gorgeous! Congrats on getting so much done…

Ooo! Purty!
I really was over the whole Ravelympics thing by the end of it all – I say you get gold for everything! Oh, and the doc said I can stop elevating my foot all day, so I’ll be spinning again :D (And Plurking – typing with one foot in the air gets weird…)

Absolutely gorgeous!!! Congratulations on medaling in the Ravelympics! :) (I think they’re still working on the Podium, and are hoping to finish tonight. Lots of last-minute finishers.)

Classic Elite makes an alpaca/tence (Miracle)l yarn that I had the opportunity to try once. If I remember correctly, Myria suggested that we (me and the yarn) get a room :) It was extraordinary stuff!
My god girl, if your yarn is anything like that – and I can imagine it is, being merino and all – I’d never be able to stop fondling it long enough to get it worked up!
Think I should stick with Red Heart? Heheh…

Beautiful… oh wow! 900 yds of laceweight from 4 oz… you are my spinning hero. Someday, maybe, I’ll manage 500! Congrats on a successful Ravelympics!

I told my boyfriend that knitting with DB merino was like knitting with butter and he replied in his silly voice: “Maybe you should try knitting with butter and see what the result would be.” My response: *glare*. lol
Lovely yarn, I’m always drawn to the blue-greens, especially when they look like the sea.
