Solace is spending time with good friends like Veronica.

Veronica test driving my Lendrum.
Solace is good friends like Becky who sent me my favorite new toy.

DeMarcus Ware Action Figure
She also sent me the cutest football bag.

Football Bag
What was inside the bag was even more delightful.

Goodies From Becky
Solace is the Hello Kitty mousepad that makes me smile whenever I see it. Hattie was kind enough to send it to me.

Hello Kitty Mousepad
Solace is the gold medal I received…

…after I finished spinning this yarn.

Have a good Thursday and thank you all for the wonderful comments you left. I’m hanging in there.

The color on that spun yarn is awesome!
I love the goodie bag too — but what? No
Terrible— I mean Terrell Owens doll????That was a great goodie bag — I love the charms and Hello Kitty too? I saw a similar mousepad at Hallmark, but my husband just rolled his eyes when I suggested it would look good on our desk. @@
Well, in a few weeks I’ll have a desk of my own. No more sharing — there WILL be Hello Kitty!

Oh, yay! for that rockin’ Hello Kitty mouse pad, as well as that purrfectly balanced and beautiful yarn!
Look, Opal: whatever provides a measure of peace and quiet for your spirit is terrific. I can understand how the rhythmic and meditative quality of spinning might fit the bill most of all. You found solace and the shop fills with the result.
I’m glad your friends are there for you, too.

Oh Opal, I missed your last post about Pressie :( Much sympathy to you…Pressie always looked like such a gentle soul in your photos, I just wanted to give her tons of rubs. I hope all of the lovely memories will make the transition a bit easier.
On a happier note, that football bag is so cute! And I love the colors of the handspun–so rich and earthy.

I hope you’re feeling better. We never do stop missing our friends, but maybe we begin to come to an understanding with grief.
