I’m writing with only 3 hours of sleep so please bear with me. I really shouldn’t have had that Chai last night, but it was so good! Let’s see.
Wednesday was plying day so I Navajo plied the singles spun from Lori‘s gorgeous fiber. I’m calling it Midnight Sky.
I decided to turn the fiber for my swap partner into a 2 ply. This one is going to be called Chocolate Espresso. I really hope she likes it.
With the Beijing Summer Olympics drawing near, Ravelympic fever is running rampant. So a few of us on Plurk decided we should do the Handspun Heptathalon. It was only natural that we set up a team for us Plurkers, thus Team Splurk was born!
Since the Heptathalon isn’t just for spinners, we’ve had some knitters join us as well. All they need to do is find some handspun to knit with!
I’ll have 11 days of rest between the Tour de Fleece and the Ravelympics. The spinning never ends and I like it that way.
I really hope that was coherent.
Happy Friday everyone! Thanks for reading and have a great weekend! :-)

I love the yarns, as always. I’m amazed at the amount of energy you have — I’ve been away for a few weeks and you’ve been so busy! Do you do it all on no sleep, or just some of it??? :)

What beautiful pictures of your gorgeous handspun yarns! I’ve been spinning my silk/wool and am on bobbin #3. I enjoy reading about all your extracurricular activities and look forward to seeing more of your spinning.

Both of those are gorgeous! I think the brown is my fave of the two. :)

Whee! You are fast! Thanks for doing such wonders to my li’l ol’ bumps of fiber — and thanks for the linky-dink in your sidebar too.
Oh, and Go Team Splurk!

Beautiful plying – ease up on the chai!

The yarn is lovely. I hope, some day, to learn how to spin. One of my knitting companions in our group gifted me with a top whorl spindle and some roving.
Thank you for sharing. Love the kitties below.

They are both beautiful and the names fit them perfectly! Much better than the names I’ve called my hand dyed rovings: Fuzzy Lettuce and Disemboweled Cow.

Love, Love, Love your midnight sky :)

The handspun is great. I love those colors, and I just want to reach through the screen to feel them.
And I just noticed you have an Etsy store. How long has that been around?

Very pretty yarns, you are keeping busy and that is good. Spin On!
