After finishing up the Cafe au Chocolat socks, I needed another pair to occupy my time while out and about. I browsed through the patterns in my new favorite book and decided to finally start the Embossed Leaves.
I’ve been eyeing this pattern for quite some time now and I thought that the Cherry Tree Hill Supersock yarn I got in a trade with Joy would be perfect for it. So far I really like the results.

This pattern is incredibly fun to knit. So much so that each repeat seems to speed by. I managed one repeat here at home on Wednesday, then a couple of others last night while at an Aloha Knitters meeting.

Before starting these socks, I had thought I lost my sock mojo. I think this project has reinvigorated my sock knitting joy. I’m not sure I can designate these babies as a portable project only. This weekend I might be seeing a lot of leafy action.

Very pretty – I made this pattern earlier this year and loved the result. Great yarn choice.

Ooo, I made that pattern with some CTH sometime back – they came out great and my mom loves them! Yours look great so far.

I like that pattern, too, though I can’t remember what yarn I was planning for it. Yours looks so pretty in the green, giving it a nice leafy theme. I look forward to seeing more.

You’re very good, Opal! Ironically, I get next to nothing done on knit night. Too busy flapping me gums I guess :o)
You leafy greens look good and are good for you!

I love those!!! Especially in green, how appropriate! Those I think are the main reason I want that book hehe. I think maybe I’ll buy it next week…

Hurray for the return of the sock mojo! And what a way to bring it back. With gorgeous socks from one of the best sock books in print. Leafy goodness is a great weekend. I’m going to fight my curly Clapotis all weekend.

Perfect color yarn for the pattern. They are beautiful!

Very lovely! But not so edible as your chocolate socks :)
It is a fun pattern–I did it years ago, but goofed and had the leaves upside down. Rising leaves instead of falling ones!

Hey… Peaknit is making those too! In green! I feel left out…

I think that was one of my all time favorite socks to knit. I did them in STR and I just love them.

One of my favorite patterns ever.

i love the feel of cth! i’ve made two pairs with cth and not one for me :( at least the knitting was great….i’ve always wanted to try embossed leaves, but the toe is one i”m not to confident in trying – would hate to get that far and get stumped, but it is a gorgeous pattern and your sock is looking great!

I don’t think you ever really lost the sock mojo. I think it was just hibernating ! The socks look wonderful and I love the color. Don’t let the cat get them!

Oh how I love leaf motifs! (Though this time of year tests that love for me as I am forced to rake, etc.) I have seen these socks elsewhere and am trying to determine how I can do this for myself without looking like I am wearing a woman’s socks.
It all looks great.

I have seen this pattern before and always like it. Yours are beautiful and isn’t it fun to have a pattern to work on that’s a little exciting? It seems to go like the wind and next thing you know, you’re done!
I love leaf motifs :)
I definitely have to get some solid color sock yarn!

Those socks look great. I knitted them in Tofutsie and they turned out okay. Not as pretty as yours, the pattern doesn’t show up as well with the varigated. Could be the knitter though. :) But it was a fun pattern and did seem to fly by.

Oh yummy, these socks are going to look awesome! I have the pattern here too but didn’t yet dare to cast on for it as it seems quite complicated – but you’re doing an awesome job with it once more! The yarn seems to be perfect indeed, the pattern really pops out with it, so to say! Very pretty!
