I looked at the Hawaii Island Animal Control website (there should be one for Oahu). They suggest contacting the Humane Society for abandoned pets, and the Police non-emergency line for Animal Cruelty. It is illegal to abandon an animal (although I don’t know about the law when the animal is abandoned on their own property). They also offer confidential advice if you have questions about animal cruelty. It might be good to have an official complaint on register with the Police and the Humane society: Any further violations on the pet-owners part will be met with their history of abuse.

Sorry for Bosco. The first think I blurted out was “What the F’in Hill?” Tonight I talked a family out of getting a rabbit, especially when the mother admitted that the little girl would lose her temper if the “cute little bunny” won’t cuddle with her when she wanted it to do so!! AUUUGH.
Folks like his owners should be tarred, feathered, and spayed/neutered!
