The Hidcote Garden sits waiting for diamonds to be knit. The Pirate Hat waits for a lining to be sewed on. Meanwhile I have become utterly absorbed in the colours of the ocean and the beauty of the Pomatomus socks.

It saddens me to not know what this fabulous yarn is. I have a feeling it’s a discontinued yarn since I got it so many years ago at a local shop. Photographing the yarn was a bit of a challenge, but the pictures are mostly true to colour.

In the meantime I shall enjoy the knitting and the visual colour fantasia that this mystery yarn has to offer. I’m also loving the pattern which gives just the right amount of spice. How that Cookie A. keeps me busy!

I didn’t realize the Pirate hat was getting a lining, I look forward to seeing how it turns out. Your Pomatomus socks look so lacy, I thought I was looking at a shawl at first. The colors pop so nicely, that is one great looking yarn. Beautiful work!

Wow! Gorgeous! I do so love Cookie’s patterns, and the mystery yarn really makes the pattern pop. Of course, it’s your skill that really makes the difference. Some day………………..

Ugh, I hate sewing linings! I have some pieces for a couple of knit bags that are like, 2 yrs old. All b/c I don’t want to sew the linings.
I love the mystery yarn colors, gorgeous! Your Monkey socks came out great too!

Of course you had to have blue for Pomatomus. And I love the colour.

Oh my – the colors of that yarn go so perfectly with the stitch pattern of the sock that it’s hard to imagine Pomatomus being made any other way. Sinfully splendid :)

You have got some gorgeous socks there. They really make me want to throw my second sock knitting attempt into high gear so I can have a reason to order some beautiful sock yarn. (my sock in progress in grey-boring)
