		<description>If he's really interested in knitting, you may have been inspiring enough for him to figure out a way to learn on his own.  I love the scarf, such pretty colors together.  

Oh, and I hate getting my hair cut, too.  Mine grows really fast, so it's usually just easier for me to let it grow.  Usually when it reaches waist length, it's too heavy and time to get some cut off.</description>

I'd say next time you feel the urge to offer to teach someone how to knit, just go for it.  Even if he had thought you were hitting on him, you could clarify your intentions once you hook him on knitting.  Which I'm sure won't take long at all.
