Back in February I bought a bunch of yarn.
Since then it’s morphed into this.
It’s my very first Log Cabin Blanket. It’s for my mother and it’s in her favorite sports team colors. Both the Duke Blue Devils and Dallas Cowboys have basically the same team colors, which makes life pretty easy when you’re dressing up to cheer for your team at game time.
I’m having so much fun with this project! The mindless garter stitch is the perfect relaxation remedy when I’m done working with my seed beads or my wire projects. And by a happy coincidence, blue is my favorite color.
I also love the yarn, Berroco Comfort. Yes it’s a man-made “acrylic”, but it’s so super soft and so easy to work with. I love the fact that you can throw it in the washing machine and for all that? I love the price too.
It’s just too bad that I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had a chance to knit in the past two weeks.
Ah well, it’s not going anywhere and it’s not like a blanket is an absolute necessity in Hawaii. ;-P
Part of the reason I haven’t been knitting? I’ve been making these.
Don’t look too closely, some of them aren’t perfect as I’m still learning how to use resin. I’ll most likely put the imperfect pendants up for sale at a discounted price in the coming days.
Look! Kitty!
That’s the first photo in a series. Stay tuned for more.
Happy Wednesday, folks! I find Wednesdays the hardest day to get through. How about you?

In reverse order: Love the kitty. Snorgle seems in order. I have a stash of Berroco Comfort and find it surprisingly soft. I was just thinking about what I should do with it. I like the resin pendants.
I love blue, too. You should see my room. So blue.

Oh look at Quincy holding his tail in his sleep!!! I’m just melting all over my keyboard at this. Your cats are the cutest things evah!!
I like that blankie. But doesn’t all that garter hurt your hands? My wrists are aching just looking at it.

There is room for a little acrylic in everyone’s life. Especially when blankets are involved. Nice to see you knitting. Don’t think I don’t love your jewelry though.

Those are great colors for the blanket. I’ve not yet logcabined, but it seems like it could be good go-to knitting between more detailed activities like your jewelry.
Speaking of, those resin pendants are great!
