I was hoping to keep this particular Skull Illusion Scarf a secret, but I don’t see how I can and keep up with NaBloPoMo. So now you see how skewed my priorities are. All I can do now is refuse to say who this scarf is for, but I’m fairly sure the recipient will be able to figure it out. There’s only one person I’d willingly knit pink for.
I’m using Swish Superwash in Bubblegum and Black on size 7US needles. I started the scarf on Thursday and I’m on the 3rd repeat. I thought I’d be really bored with doing another of these scarves, but so far it’s not that bad. It helps that I’ve been feeling rather vapid and empty this weekend. So fairly mindless knitting rather suit my state of mind.
My creative juices are running alarmingly low so churning out identical scarves might just fit the bill until I can figure out just what the heck is going on with me. I hope it’s not the pressure of feeling like I have to write every day about my knitting.
It’s not even the 15th and I’m losing steam for NaBloPoMo. Will I make it to the end of the month?

I’m a lover of pink/black combos so I think the scarf is awesome (I’m guessing you don’t like pink much). I hope NaBloPoMo doesn’t completely drain you…I can’t imagine trying to post every day. I can barely post once a week!

Oh, the mental gyrations we put ourselves through as we race to knit and write! It does appear we’re in the same introspective place and I’m not even trying to do the daily blog post. Do what you can and let no one judge you.
BTW, I like the color combo of bubblegum and black. What do you think of Swish?

You just have too much to do! I’ve been writing for NaNoWriMo but I know I won’t make it to 50,000 words by the end of November.I think it’s about giving myself permission to take the time to write, not about “winning” or forcing myself to write just anything to make it to the word-count. Just have fun with it! I know I am!
