So Mom left yesterday for Texas, but I jumped the gun and started the shawl on Wednesday. I didn’t have much time to work on it though. What with her being underfoot and with this being a big Sekrit Project. And no, she doesn’t read this blog. :)
See? Not much done.
So far though, I’m really enjoying the pattern. The arbitrary change from stockinette to garter is so much fun.
I’m not really sure I’m digging the variegation though.
There’s some strange pooling going on.
/sigh
I do like the texture though.
I don’t think Mom will mind the pooling. At least I hope she won’t.
Oof.
Sammy has no opinion on pooling or any other knitting related matter and wishes to be left alone.
I’m off to run errands now. Yay me.
Have a fantastic weekend!

I think it looks neat! I don’t see much pooling.

I think it’s knitting up fine, I don’t see any of what I consider “bad” pooling!

Sammy looks hungry. Feed him. Food fixes everything.
Lovin’ the shawl! Your mom is a lucky lady!

The garter rows of that scarf look amazing. I’ll offer a vote of confidence in its defense.
Silly kitty, doesn’t know what he’s missing.

It looks nice. I loved that I didn’t have to think. I just started changing when I felt like it. Oh and I used 3 balls. I did mine with a yarn that has a long stripe.

I love the picture of Sammy – he does look exactly like he’s thinking that!
Very pretty shawl – good luck getting it done in time!

I think the shawl is going to be so lovely. I don’t really see a pooling problem. The colors are gorgeous. As long as Sammy approves!

Some people love pooling and other’s don’t. IF it’s bothering you, don’t keep on with it you know you’ll be unhappy!
*wink*
I just finished my Textured Shawl Recipe and thoroughly enjoyed it, even if it could be a touch larger…I blocked the dickens out of it!
(((hugs)))

It looks more striping than pooling to me – it’s cute! I never think that about my own stuff though, weirdly enough.
Sammy does look like he’s saying exactly that! lol
