Today I finished the red scarf for the Red Scarf Project. As usual, blocking magic occurred and I was properly astonished at the transformation. I’m thinking of writing up the pattern for the scarf, but I have a lot of other knitting to get done before I can get to that. Plus the stitch pattern was blatantly stolen from another, so I’m not sure how cool it would be of me to do that. Not to mention the fact that I’m not sure what I’d call it.
I once again succumbed to post-project depression. I have the Braided Cable Socks on the needles, but I’m still feeling a little lost and adrift now that the scarf is drying. I’m contemplating casting on for another scarf, but I’m not sure which scarf to start and all the waffling and hedging is driving me mildly insane. This is just what I do when I can’t decide on something. I’m sure it has something to do with my being a Libra and all that. It will definitely be an illusion scarf. I’m just not sure which illusion scarf it will be.

These are the best pictures I could take at the that I blocked the scarf due to the time of day and the nature of the lighting in the room that I was in. Hopefully I can take better picture of the stitch pattern once it’s dry.

You should cast on for a SWEATER. :) I’ll tell you a secret - Salina is my first one. (Well, second, actually, but the first one happened many moons ago and suffered from beginners lack of experience. Or perhaps swatching. In any case is was the sweater that never really was.)

My old friend post project depression. Ah I know him well. I have no idea what causes that by the way. Do you think they would prescribe a bottle of wine to fix that? ooh!ooh! Maybe chocolate? You should get out the patterns and start paging through them, or maybe suround yourself with your stash for inspiration. It sometimes helps me to do that. As for writing the pattern, when you have the time you should post it. It really doesn’t matter if the stitch might be borrowed as long as you give credit where credit is due. Heres to the next project!

The scarf looks great! I can’t wait to see that stitch pattern when it is dry.
Maybe you could cast on for a cotton tank or something, to get you out of your FO depression. Good luck deciding!

This is why I try to keep several projects in various stages of completion going, so that when I finish one, I’m not lost as to what to start next. Occasionally, though, I’ll get the bright idea to finish most things before beginning something else and then I am truly lost when I don’t have another project already going and have to find a new one. You’ll find your mojo again. Something will jump out at you when you least expect it.

Looks great!!!
Do you find that the Heritage softens up upon washing? I love B&L yarn….and you just can’t beat the price.
