Even though I’ve been busy with the spinning, I’ve still managed to get some wirework done.
Here we have a pair of earrings that were a custom order.
The briolettes are Peridot quartz and the wire is all sterling silver.
The next piece is a pendant.
It’s called the Garden Candy Pendant and I learned how to do it in a custom class taught my Michelle at The Bead Gallery. I took the class with KnottyNaomi while she was here visiting from California.
Naomi and I met through Ravelry. She’s truly a spinner extradonaire as well as a fantastic jewelry maker! Check out her lovely yarns if you get a chance!
Here she is on the left with the short hair gettin’ busy. Michelle is on the right doin’ the teachin’.
I had a wonderful time and we both decided that whenever she visits, we’re going to take a class together. Yay!
I think I’ve finally recovered from a hectic weekend. There was much shopping. I bought a new pair of sandals. I saw the new Harry Potter movie. It was good, but it was long. Two and a half hours. Definitely worth it, IMHO. :)
I wanted to see a vampire movie with a friend today, but I’m just not up to it. There’s been some medical drama over my acid reflux medication and I’m busy trying to survive without it while trying to get my hands on more of it.
That’s okay though. I expect to see her on Friday where we plan to have a True Blood marathon. :)
Sammy wants to know why he can’t get in on the fun.
Happy Wednesday people! Be true to yourself!
Or something like that…..

Wow, you seem to have such a fun life. All I do is work, taxi Cody around, and sleep. The most exciting thing that’s happened to me lately is getting a new Dallas Cowboy pro shop catalog. Guess what? DeMarcus, Bradie, Terence, and Roy are the models! I think I’m going to go cuddle up in the bed with my catalog now.

Lovely periodot earrings. I enjoyed Harry Potter-fun to see how everyone has grown up.

That is gorgeous jewelry! I cannot decide which I like best.
This sounds a bit like one of those life things I’ve heard so much about lately.
Sorry for the reflux and accompanying troubles. I hope you get that straightened out soon.

The pendant is just gorgeous, Opal. Wow! Keep taking those classes. DH and I both have acid reflux. His developed into Barret’s Esophagus, diagnosed in 1990. He’s been on meds (nexium now) ever since. Saved his life. Nothing to mess with.

Love those peridots!

Love the jewelry. Is there anything you can’t do?
I thought the HP movie was long, but honestly I would have watched more.
We love True Blood too! I’m about to listen to the third book on MP3, but I actually think the tv show is better than the books. That hardly ever happens!

I always thought having peridot as my birthstone was such a rip because for eons, I could not stand the color green. Also why not diamonds, rubies or pearls? Peridot? Sheesh. I did hear that it’s a mineral from space rock though.
Pretty!
True Blood marathon. Sounds like a great start to a weekend. ;)

Wow! Love that Garden Candy Pendant. It really looks like candy – like the sugary stuff my Japanese friends bring over when they come to visit me. Hope you get the reflux thing worked out. That’s no fun! Oh, and Sammy is as cute as always!

The pendant is beautiful. It is like a little bouquet.
