On Day 12 of the Tour de Fleece, I spun up some Supercoils from some of Jen‘s nifty fiber. The colors are as far as you can get from my normal color palette, but when it comes to art yarns I like to stretch the boundaries.
This is a Superwash BFL yarn and it was so much fun to spin. Take a closer look.
Once I was done with the coils though, I felt it was time to get return to my roots. So for Day 13, I unearthed a project that has been moldering since October of last year. This is what I had already finished.
This projec is so old, Jen and I can’t even remember what kind of fiber it is. We’ve narrowed it down to either Merino or Rambouillet.
Once Day 14 (yesterday) was over this is what I had accomplished.
Now that Day 15 is here, I’m wracked with indecision. Do I ply the two laceweight singles? Or do I ply these singles I had finished before the tour started?
Maybe if I kick my ass hard enough I could ply both of them today.
o.O
Or I could do an art yarn with this beautiful batt.
I’m thinking beehives/granny stacks like these.
Or I could start spinning another 3-ply.
Or a squishy 2-ply.
Or a puffy single.
Or more coils.
I am overwhelmed with the choices.

The boy-cats have abandoned me and have become camera shy. Instead, I give you Saturday Sky.
I love it and I hate it. On one hand, I’m praying for rain. We need it. On the other hand, I’m hoping it doesn’t because it’ll turn up the humidity knob to some kind of unbearable level that I’d rather not deal with.
Happy Saturday, people! Rock on.

Very pretty work!
I’m the kind of person that waits for the rain too. I love it. :)

Oh man, I’d be wishing for rain. Humidity stinks, yeah, but isn’t it almost as humid if the water is still stuck in the clouds?

Do a little of each. First clean off some bobbins and then start filling them with something new. :D

I say flip a coin. Whatever you do will be a winner!

The delicious red stuff, absolutely. Nice worms!! I spray painted the ones in our garden lively colors to match yours :)

Gorgeous stuff all round! I can’t believe you let that autumnal HfH sit for that long — I love those colours. And just how many bobbins do you have? :-)

I am drooling! Gorgeous stuff, all of it! Whatever you do will undoubtedly be fantastic! It has been threatening to rain here too. I finally went out and watered my planters and pots. That will make it rain for sure. Thankfully we don’t have the heat and humidity to deal with. Stay comfortable!

I don’t think I have a vote for what to do with that batt because my brain is still going “ooooooooo pretty!”
I love the coils too. It’s art right now – without going one step further.

Your spinning is awesome!
Whatever you decide to do next–enjoy it!
I hope that whatever happens with the weather, it is not unbearable, and you find a nice place to be comfortable.

The coils look like something from another planet which is quite awesome. :)
My vote is for plying something or maybe two things. Whatever.

The coils look alive – amazing yarn!
I’m sure by now you decided what to do – and I’m sure it will be beautiful!
Hope you are having a great weekend…

Gorgeous stuff! I would probably do the thing that would be finished faster…just for the reward of having a finished project. Of course, I am no queen of FOs, we know. :D

You’re so good.
PLY!
And that gorgeous red batt? You need to send it to me because it’s amazing.

Love the coiled yarn! Whew, a few bobbins full huh! ;) We finally got a wee bit of rain today.

Your coil yarn is so pretty, I wouldn’t even know where to begin to spin yarn with so much texture. Will you show us a little of it knit up after the race? I am in awe of how much beautiful yarn you have spun.

The autumn colors of that project from October? SQUEEEE!
It is all beautiful.

I love it all, but I really really love that red! Beehives and such!! Wonder what you ended up doing????

So many choices. Those coils are sure interesting.
