I have been working on the ruffles for the Flirty Ruffles shawl while watching the show Project Runway, Season 3. I’m hopelessly addicted to the show now and I’ve even taken to watching all the reruns of the show while knitting.
My favorite designer is Michael Knight. He manages to compete without cutting the others down or their designs. He’s just a class act. Who’s your favorite?

I’m hoping to finish the endless ruffles this week. I’m not sure what I’ll knit after this. I have the Shaped Triangle from Gathering Of Lace to work on.and I think that would be a good Runway project. I have Season 1 on DVD coming to me from Netflix. Seasons 1 and 2 of Project Runway still await me. Lots of knitting! Lots of Runway! Lots and lots and lots!
When I’m not mesmerized by the mad rush of design challenges and insane ruffles, I’ve been reading Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander Series again. Is that not the greatest love story ever? I’m going to have to buy a new copy of some of the books again though because mine are falling apart. I hate it when that happens.

I love Project Runway! Did you watch the first 2 seasons when they are new or just on netflix? (I love netflix too!). Michael is definately my favorite, although I love the standard Uli dress, I like to see what Jeffrey will come up with. Your shawls are always an inspiration to me! Happy knitting!

I love project runway but I don’t have a favorite. I also can’t watch it while knitting. I get too distracted. I watch/listen to DVD’s from old PBS series. The absolute best are Inspector Allyn Mysterys because they are really all talk and give no reason to look at the screen:) I’ve never read the “Outlander” series but have been tempted in the past. Since you love them so much, I will get on Amazon and obtain a copy of “Outlander”. If I love a book or series, I try to get it in hardback becase I also tend to read them to shreads! You are making great headway on the shawls. I don’t know how you keep up with it all. I’m trying to finish some of mine in time for the holidays to give as gifts. Good knitting to you!

I’m re-reading the Outlander series right now - I love the books. I think I re-read them about once a year or so. Flirty Ruffles is looking good!

Opal, the Flirty Ruffles is coming along beautifully! My fave on Project Runway is Michael, too. His designs are consistently beautiful, and his taste in setting of his designs seems perfect. Hope he wins.

I am amazed at your flirty ruffles shawl and I am impressed that you can knit on it while you watch such a drama-filled show! I look forward to seeing it all pinned out, just stunning.

I love the new look to your website. It is so peaceful and refreshing to look at. I can dream, can’t I? I haven’t seen you post in awhile and I was wondering if your hands were bothering you. Now I see it was just that you have been very busy! They are lovely. What are you using to knit the flirty ruffles?

Such beautiful shawls! I just finished reading the Outlander for the first time a few months ago, definitely a re-read. I don’t have a telly, but I did manage to catch Project Runway with the Santini (was that his name?) season, not sure which season that was. I love waiting a season or two and then being able to watch a show back to back on my laptop :-)
