Crazy is thinking I’ll be able to spin this batt with a spindle:
into laceweight singles.
It helps that the spindle is so nifty. (I got it at Maryland Sheep & Wool last year.)
I love how the artist wood-burned her name into the shaft.
This is how much I spun last night.
Crazy is winning the CJ Kopec Spin-Along thingy.
Crazy is how the winning yarn knits up. I personally think it’s ugly, but the intended recipient loves it.
Crazy is wanting to acquire more spindles when I already own over ten of them. No hassle me! I’ve been collecting for nearly 10 years! (Do ya like my pidgin?)
Crazy is the way cats can sleep comfortable with their feet past their chin.
There’s more crazy, but I can’t share it with you all on a public forum like this. You’ll just have to take my word for it. I will say that I hate people.
Happy Thursday, people! It’s a long weekend! :D

SO GORGEOUS. The batt, the spindle, and of course the kitty too.

Only ten? ;^)

OOoh, that’s one beautiful batt! The spindle is lovely, too. I spindle spin from time to time, but it seems to take forever. I’d rather be knitting.

Boy, that red stuff looks almost edible! You need another spindle, you’ld be crazy not to get another one :)

The batt is incredibly pretty. If I had something like that in my fiber stash I’d have to dust of my lone and lonesome spindle. Incidently, that spindle still has my first yarn on it. I just haven’t gotten around to setting the twist.

I LURVE the dragonflies!

The yarn looks wonderful! I can’t believe you can do that on a spindle! I just don’t get the hang of it! I keep trying and then put it away! Maybe I need nicer roving to encourage me!

The spindle is wonderful, and the red in that batt is amazing.
But…crazy is how I know I will never ever become a spinner and how badly I want a spindle….(Maybe I’ll get one at Sock Summit and take a quick class in spindle-spinning?)
Have a great long weekend!
(((Hugs)))

I just bought my first bat of fiber and I believe it is also merino and bamboo. I’m going to try and spin it with a spindle since, well, I don’t have a spinning wheel. I absolutely love the spindle in this shot!
Hope things get less crazy soon :)

Crazy? Really? Do you remember who you are talking to?
Love the fiber, and the sock works.

Crazy nice photos. You know, of course, that both Patsy Cline and Reba are singing in my head now. And it is your fault. :D

Ohhh! Love that roving and handspun! That spindle too! My cat is the same…wish I was that flexible ;)

Congratulations on winning!
The world needs more of this kind of crazy.

Yay for spindling!! And that’s a gorgeous spindle, btw. Yumm. Is it ceramic?
I quite like how that yarn is knitting up too — lovely tweedy effect.

I truly enjoy the photos of your craziness. The batt is wild and the sock looks wonderful. It is a great combination of texture and color. You have such happy cats!

Gorgeous spinning – how’s your shoulder holding up? ;o)

That batt is an awesome color. I wouldn’t feel bad about your spindle collection…at least the spindles are useful ;)
