I am really struggling finishing this shawl, the Shaped Triangle. At this point I only need to do the edging, but the edging is fiddly and tedious. I’m thinking that somehow some type of strange entity swept into my bedroom whilst I was sleeping and stole my Shawl Mojo because I am now completely in a rut with this whole project. Not even the Yarn Harlot’s inspirational post of the year has stirred my mojo back into being.
So I have decided to go easy on myself at this juncture and to give myself permission to let it sit in the corner while I hold my thumb over it when it crosses my line of sight. (Thanks for the suggestion Jane!) I’m also going to have to direct the Hidcote Shawl to the corner for now as well, but that’s okay. I can use my other thumb for that one.

i lost my sock mojo for a while - just today picked up my first toe-up to work on again; i think i may finish the one sock before socktober is over….

Sorry your mojo has gone, but that’s really a beautiful shawl. I love the color. Maybe you should start a short project to get your mojo back for the shawls.

It’s Winter folks. How about more warm and cozy socks?
You really can’t go wrong with them and making a few pairs will decrease any residual stress you may be having status post the earth shaking you had recently. The shawl will still be there later.

Awww - this shawl is so gorgeous! I think if you’ll just put it away for a while and concentrate on something else, your Mojo will come back soon, it’ll want to see this beauty finished - and so do we ;)

Sorry Opal! Don’t worry though, because I think your mojo will come back. You won’t be able to go too long without shawl knitting. I am sure of it lol! Work on some smaller, anti-stress projects for a bit, and then I know you will need that lace challenge back!

Don’t worry about it. I go through phases and right now I’m in a Fair Isle and sweater stage right now apparently. No desire whatsoever to do lace. But I know the lace bug will bite again sometime.

Your shawls are too beautiful for your shawl mojo to go away forever! I agree with everyone else - if you give yourself some time, it will come back. Hang in there!

Must have run off with my sock mojo. Here it is Socktober and not only have I not finished a sock, I haven’t knit one stitch on a sock all month! I’m convinced that if I keep knitting on something else eventually the sock mojo will return. Maybe it will work with your shawl mojo, too.

I loooovvvvee that color-is it really such a gorgeous blue-violet in the flesh? Yum.
I have no shawl mojo right now, either. Unfinished Kiri sits in the UFO drawer, waiting her turn. I’m optimistic the mojo will come back though. One day when you least expect it!

After that tedious finish on the Flirty Ruffles Shawl, I can understand. The shawl is a beautiful color, it will call to you eventually.
The afgan looks so cuddly. It is time for that kind of knitting here in South Carolina. Not sure how that works in the islands!!!

Oh no! And the Hidcote Garden was coming along so beautifully! I’m sure it will return, sooner or later.
And Lion Brand - GRRR!
